Joor Erin, the Owner of Soup du Joor, received her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Criminal Justice from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. While attending St. Thomas, she studied and lived abroad in Mexico and Europe. In between and after classes she would sample the local cuisine and developed a true love for authentic Mexican, Italian and French Food.

In April 2008, Joor received a call from the Rachael Ray show inviting her to conduct her own cooking segment on Showcase Minnesota on Kare 11, an NBC affiliate.  Since then she has made several appearances on NBC sharing her cooking creations with viewers in Minneapolis. She is a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO).

Joor, also is a frequent guest host on Shop NBC. She has demonstrated and has sold several products including Cookware, Bread Makers, and Glass Lock food storage containers.

Joor started cooking at the age of 2; baking pies with her father and watching her mother cook dinners for the family.  Baking led to preparing breakfasts, which led to making dinners. She started working in restaurants at the age of 14 and has held numerous titles in the restaurant industry but is a self taught Chef. She constantly is writing new recipes and testing new creations.

Joor also teaches cooking classes to adults and children. She is also focused on her Latest project “Single Serving Minnesota!”

Joor currently resides in the Twin Cities but travels to clients in New York and Nevada.

She has worked as a News Reporter, Personal Shopper, National Director of Sales, Spokesperson and Professional Model, but her true passions are Cooking and Entertaining. When she is not cooking and organizing the lives of others, she enjoys shopping, traveling, sewing and snowmobiling. All of her companies: Soup du Joor, Joorganized, Five Wines, The Naughty Noodle and Single Serving Minnesota are licensed, registered and insured with the State of Minnesota.
